[Mitchell makes his way over to Beth's apartment, having promised to spend New Year's Eve with her. Or at least as close to the date as he can think of. He brings over lasagna and ice cream to share with her, leaving her in charge of the drinks.
He arrives promptly at 8:00 PM, their appointed time, and he already knows the way. Very gently, he knocks on the door and waits for her to open. He wears his usual jeans, a shirt and a long cloak for the cold.]
